How You Can Help

Volunteering with Your Local Search Team

The most common question we get is “How do I volunteer for Search and Rescue?”. As an umbrella organization we are composed of member teams. It is our amazing member teams that directly respond to callouts. For this reason OSARVA teams set their own training and recruitment schedules so it is always best to contact your closest team directly.

You can find the more than 20 SAR teams in Ontario here (link to teams page). Once you find the group closest to you, you can usually find information on how to contact them, and what their recruitment needs are, on their web page.
